Just for fun I made myself a towel apron. When I give the babies a bath I'll be all ready for splashing! It is made out of an old bath towel and left over material. I had just enough!

Coming Soon... The Backpack Diaper Bag
It seems like it is taking forever to get things up and running. Since I intend to sell, I can't use any of my purchased patterns so everything has to be changed and tweaked a bit to create my own designs. Plus, being new to sewing, I am learning as I go, especially playing with all the different types of fabric (brocades are beautiful but a little slippery to work with.) I recently got a backpack pattern and am in the process of turning it into a diaper bag. I am learning to quilt both straight line and free hand, so the bags can even be quilted if preferred. I do have several projects in the works but will try to get one done for viewing asap. One of the projects I am working on are half size backpacks for the twins for special meetings next month. Any Moms interested in these diaper bags, if you have older daughters I can make matching kids bags. Thanks for the patience as I get things together!
Finally Completed
Between lots of company, the bathroom project, sick kids, and all the daily chores, I finally finished the brocade bag. I think I have a good system down and so now want to get opinions on the marketability of these bags. I am almost finished with the backpack diaper bag pattern so should be able to get an example of that up soon. Once the bathroom is done, Bill can watch the kids for me so I can really get some work done! Can't wait!

First Sewing Class
I finally broke and begged Bill to watch the babies for a couple nights so I could take a basic sewing class. It was a great starter class as it showed how to do tons of different things; buttonholes, topstitching, zippers, decorative stitches, and quilting - both straight and freehand. Here is the project we made.
